Destinations: Bangalore – Mysore – Bangalore
Day 01: Arrival in Bangalore
Arrive at Bangalore and then get transferred to the hotel.
Relax a while and then go on a half-day afternoon sightseeing
tour to Iskcon Temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, Lal
Bagh Gardens, famous landmark of Bangalore, Vidhana Soudha,
legislative building. Later return to the hotel for dinner
and an overnight stay. Here ends the first day of your
Mysore Dasara Tour.
Day 02: Bangalore – Mysore (3 hrs)
Start the day with a healthy breakfast and then check
out of the hotel. Proceed to Mysore, a place known for
majestic palaces and green gardens. On your way visit
Srirangapatna and attractions like Tipu’s Summer Palace,
Sriranganatha Temple and Mosque. Arrive at Mysore and
check in at the hotel. Relax a while and in evening visit
the famous Chamundi Hill, having the gigantic Mahishasura
statue. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 03: Mysore
Post breakfast, go on a full day excursion to Somnathapura,
set in a village 35 kms away from Mysore, Talakadu also
known as the Vaideshwara Temple, set on the banks of Cauvery.
This temple comes alive when it is excavated once every
12 years during the Panchalinga Darshan. Then attend the
evening cultural programme at Kalamandir. Later return
to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 04: Mysore
Fourth day of your Mysore Dasara Tour begins with a sumptuous
breakfast meal at Mysore after which you will proceed
for the full day sightseeing tour. Visit the Maharaja
Palace, known for its splendid structure, Art Gallery,
housing in the Jaganmohan Palace, St. Philomena’s Church,
having Gothic structures and stain glass windows and Brindavan
Garden - the Krishna Raja Sagar Dam with its musical fountains.
Attend cultural programmer in the evening at Jaganmohana
Art Gallery. Return to the hotel and have an overnight
stay in Mysore.
Day 05: Mysore – Ayudapuja Day
Fifth day of your Mysore Dasara Tour starts with a healthy
breakfast. Spend the rest of the stay shopping or going
on an optional tour. In the evening you can attend the
rehearsal of Torch Light Parade at Bannimantap. Return
to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 06: Mysore – Vijayadasami Day
Have breakfast and proceed to Maharaja Palace around 11:30
hrs to witness Dasara Pooja and the famous procession
at Maharaja Palace. Later return to the hotel at 16:00
hrs. Evening is free to be spent at leisure. Have an overnight
stay at Mysore.
Day 07: Mysore - Bangalore
Last day of your Mysore Dasara Tour begins with a healthy
breakfast followed by a check out from the hotel for your
journey back home. Here ends the Mysore Dasara Tour.
