Day 01: Arrive at Chennai
South India Religious Tour starts from Chennai. Welcome
on arrival at the airport by our representative who escorts
you to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 02: Chennai – Tirupathi – Chennai
South India Religious Tour today takes you on an excursion
to the very famous temple town of Tirupathi. After breakfast,
transfer to Tirupathi by road. Visit the magnificent ancient
temple of Lord Venkateswara here. Take lunch at a local
restaurant and later in the evening, drive back to Chennai
hotel for dinner and night stay.
Day 03: Chennai - Kanchipuram
Another famous temple town of Kanchipuram is the next
destination in the religious tour package for South India.
Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Kanchipuram
by road (76 km/1 ½ hrs). Check in to hotel upon arrival
and later, proceed for sightseeing of the city that is
home to 1000 majestic temples and 124 holy shrines. Retire
to the hotel for the night.
Day 04: Kanchipuram - Tiruvannamalai - Pondicherry
Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Pondicherry
while stopping en route at Tiruvannamalai. Upon arrival
at Pondicherry, check into hotel and stay for the night.
Day 05: Pondicherry
Leave for a post breakfast visit to the famous Aurobindo
Ashram that lies around 10 km north of Pondicherry. Full
day sightseeing and return to the hotel in the evening
for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 06: Pondicherry - Chidambaram - Tanjore
Today we take you to the famous temple site of Tanjore
that is a must visit in all South India tour packages.
Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Tanjore
by road. Stop by at Chidambaram for sightseeing and later,
continue drive to Tanjore. Upon arrival, check in to hotel
for dinner and night stay.
Day 07: Tanjore – Trichy
Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) is the next destination in your
South India Religious Tour. Check out from hotel after
breakfast and transfer to Trichy, a largely visited site
in pilgrimage tours in South India. Check in to hotel
upon arrival. Later, leave for a post-lunch city sightseeing
tour covering Ranganath Temple at Srirangam, Rock Fort
Temple and Jambukeshwar Temple. Return to the hotel in
the evening for night stay.
Day 08: Trichy – Madurai
During your travel to holy places of South India, the
famous temple town of Madurai is a must visit. Check out
from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Madurai by
road. Upon arrival, check in to hotel and stay for the
night.
Day 09: Madurai – Rameshwaram – Madurai
Today after breakfast, we take you on an excursion to
another popular pilgrimage site of Rameshwaram. Visit
its majestic temple sites and retire to Madurai hotel
at night.
Day 10: Madurai - Trivandrum
Check out from hotel after breakfast and transfer to Trivandrum
by road. Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Remaining day
at leisure and overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Trivandrum - Kanyakumari – Trivandrum
Today we take you to another pilgrimage site of Kanyakumari,
the last stopover in your religious tour package for South
India. Enjoy full-day sightseeing and return to Trivandrum
hotel for dinner and night stay. <
Day 12: Trivandrum – Chennai
South India Religious Tour ends today. Check out from
hotel after breakfast and proceed to the airport to board
connecting flight to Chennai. Our representative receives
you at the airport and assists you to board scheduled
flight back home or to onward destination.
