Legend says that this temple was built in order to appease a vagrant bull that was on a way to eating away the entire groundnut field but after the erecting of the Bull Temple; the bull was never seen repeating the same. Happy farmers hold annual Groundnut festival near the Bull Temple premised. Another great feature of the Bull Temple is that it is built adjacent to Lord Ganesha’s idol. This idol is made out of 110 kg of butter in every 4 years and amazingly the butter that it is made of never melts. On the completion of 4years, the butter is distributed among devotees as prasad.
